Your schedule page
How to read and use the personal schedule page you receive via email link — RSVP, partner flow, event details, and profile settings.
Your organizer sends you a personal link that goes straight to your schedule —
no account required. The URL looks like picklefriend.net/schedule?token=…
and is unique to you.
The event list
The left side of the page (or the top on a phone) shows upcoming events in chronological order. Tap or click any event to open its detail panel. Events drop off the list a few hours after they end.
In a ladder league you may see events from multiple divisions — each event carries a division badge so you know which tier it belongs to.
Event detail
Opening an event shows the name, date, time, and location. The location card has a Map link (opens Google Maps) and a Copy button for the address. Below that, Players In / Courts / Duration give you a quick size snapshot, and Your Status tells you where you stand right now: "You're in," "You're on the waitlist," "You're undecided," and so on.
A pulsing Session In Progress badge appears once the session has started and stays visible until roughly four hours after the scheduled start. After that window the RSVP buttons are replaced with a "Session ended" notice.
RSVP
Four buttons control your status:
| Button | What it means |
|---|---|
| I'm In | You plan to play. If the event is full, this becomes Join Waitlist automatically. |
| Join Waitlist | You want to play but the event is at capacity. You'll be promoted automatically if a spot opens. |
| Undecided | You haven't committed either way. |
| I'm Out | You won't be there. |
Your selection highlights immediately and the organizer sees the update right away.
Grace period: the organizer can set a window before the event during which late RSVPs go to the waitlist even if spots remain. If that window is active, tapping I'm In lands you on the waitlist.
Waitlist auto-promotion: when someone switches from In to Out, the next person on the waitlist is moved to In automatically and receives an email. See Waitlists for more detail.
Fixed-partner events
Some events require you to play as a fixed pair. When fixed partners are mandatory, the primary button reads Determine Partner instead of I'm In. Tapping it opens a partner-selection picker where you indicate who you want to play with.
Once both players have selected each other, the pairing confirms automatically and your status moves to In (or Waitlist if the event is full). Until then your status reads "Waiting for a partner," or "You are on partner waitlist looking for a partner" when partners are optional rather than required.
If fixed partners are optional, a Partner Optional side button appears next to your RSVP buttons. You can RSVP In first and find a partner separately, or skip partnering altogether. When a partnership dissolves — either player cancels or RSVPs out — both players are notified and returned to an unpartnered state.
See Partner requests for the full partner-selection flow.
A Show more disclosure below the event header expands additional sections.
Player list — a searchable list of everyone invited, grouped by status: In, Waitlist, and Out. The header shows waitlist count when there are any; the Players In card above also shows a combined waiting count (waitlist plus partner-waiting) at a glance.
Help Needed (booking jobs) — if your organizer has set up tasks ("book the courts," "bring extra balls"), they appear here. Each job shows who has already volunteered and a text field where you can add your name and a short note. Tap Volunteer Status to save; you can update your note any time before the event. See Booking jobs for how organizers configure these.
Notices — organizer bulletins pinned to the event, including any late-dropout notices when someone cancels within 24 hours of game time. Each notice shows a timestamp.
Chat — a message thread between you, the organizer, and other players. Messages are capped at 500 characters; the last 100 messages are shown. Chat pushes a notification to players who have push enabled — see Enable Notifications below.
Secondary actions (inside Show more):
-
Add to Calendar — downloads a
.icsfile for a single event, or shows your active subscription badge if you have already subscribed to the calendar feed. See Calendar subscription. - Enable Notifications — subscribes your browser to web push for this group. You'll get nudges for chat messages, new booking jobs, and partner interest.
- View Standings — opens the group's public ratings page (when ratings are enabled).
- League Policy — opens the organizer's policy text on the ratings page.
Score entry
When a session is live and the organizer has enabled player score entry, a View Court and Enter Scores button appears above the Show more section — visible roughly 30 minutes before the scheduled start and active until the session ends. Tapping it takes you to your personal score page. See Player score entry.
Pre-invite ghost cards
If your organizer uses Auto-invite, you may see upcoming events with a lock icon and a countdown — for example, "Auto-invite · 3d before". You will be automatically added to those events a set number of days before the date; until then the RSVP buttons are inactive. Once the auto-invite fires, your invite appears and you can RSVP normally.
My Profile
A My Profile section on your schedule page lets you set a short introduction that other players can see when they are looking for a partner.
Intro blurb — up to 500 characters. Describe your play style, skill level, availability, or anything you'd like potential partners to know. A character counter tracks how much space remains. Changes save automatically when you click outside the text box, or you can tap Save explicitly. If you have a blurb saved for a different group and the current field is empty, a Copy a blurb from another group dropdown appears so you can reuse it.
Three preference toggles control how you participate in partner-finding:
| Toggle | Default | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
| Partner digest email | On | Receive a daily email listing players who have expressed interest in partnering with you. |
| Partner push notifications | On | Receive a push notification when a player selects you as a potential partner. |
| Share my email with partners | Off | Allow confirmed partners to see your email address in the partner-info modal. |
These preferences apply to your player record for the current group and do not affect any organizer account email preferences.
Signing in or creating an account
Your schedule link works without an account. To claim your rating history or access the player dashboard across groups, tap your name in the header and choose Sign up or Log in. The registration form pre-fills your name and email.
