Managing your emails (no account needed)
How to opt out of event invitations, announcements, or all organizer emails using the unsubscribe link in any email footer — no login required.
Every email PickleFriend sends on behalf of an organizer has an unsubscribe link in the footer. That link takes you to a page where you can adjust what you receive — no account, no login required.
If you have a PickleFriend account, you have more granular controls in your dashboard. See Email preferences for the account-side version.
The unsubscribe page
The page is scoped to the group that sent the email. You'll see your name and three controls:
1. Toggle individual email types
Two checkboxes let you control each category independently:
| Category | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Event Invitations | Invites, cancellations, status changes, partnerships, waitlist updates, and game day reminders |
| Announcements | Organizer announcements and other updates |
Untick a category and press Save Preferences to stop those emails from that group. The same link works to re-enable either category anytime. Turning both off is equivalent to unsubscribing from all emails from that one group.
2. Unsubscribe from all (this group)
Unsubscribe from All stops every email from that specific group — event invitations and announcements alike. It only affects the one group linked to the email you received; other organizers who have added you to their own groups are not affected.
3. Universal unsubscribe
At the bottom of the page, under Universal Unsubscribe, a red button reads Unsubscribe from ALL Organizers & Groups. This opts your email address out across every group on PickleFriend, including any future organizers who add you. The page shows how many groups are affected before you confirm. To re-enable later, create a free account and update your preferences from the Email preferences page.
Partner-selection digest emails
If an organizer has partner requests enabled, you may receive a separate "partner digest" email summarizing who has selected you as a partner. That email has its own one-click opt-out link in the footer, separate from the main unsubscribe page. Clicking it disables only the partner digest — your other event emails from that group continue as normal.
Re-enabling after you unsubscribe
The unsubscribe link in any subsequent email always works, even after a previous opt-out. To re-enable without waiting for a new email, create a free account (or sign in) and manage your preferences from the Email preferences page in your dashboard.
