Round Robin Generator

Pickleball round robin generator — free, instant, no signup.

Type in who showed up, press Mix, and get a fair round-robin rotation for 4 to 150 players in milliseconds — fresh partners, fresh opponents, and even sit-outs. Unlike a printed chart, it re-solves the next round when people arrive late, leave early, or sit one out. Works offline, and every round it makes can be printed. Rather have the whole night planned before you arrive? The pre-made PDF and Excel schedules are one button away.

// 01 How it works

Three steps to a generated round robin.

~30 seconds
  1. i.

    Enter your players

    Type or paste names — 4 to 150 of them. Optional: set gender or a rating on any player.

  2. ii.

    Set your courts

    Tell it how many courts you have. Everything else is optional: fixed partners, gender balance, rating balance, never-sit players.

  3. iii.

    Press Mix

    A full round appears instantly. Press Mix again for the next one — it remembers every pairing it has already produced and avoids repeating them.

// 02 Why a live generator

A schedule that survives real life.

Most round-robin generators hand you a chart for exactly N players and assume all N of them are there for every round. Then someone texts that they are running late, someone else leaves after round four, and the chart is worthless.

This one generates round by round. It tracks who has already partnered whom, who has already faced whom, and who has already sat out — then builds the next round around the players who are actually on court right now. Add a late arrival and they are in the next round. Drop someone out and the rotation closes around them. No restart, no redrawing.

The same algorithm ships as a small cached bundle in your browser, so it keeps generating rounds at full speed when the venue wifi does not.

// 05 Pre-made schedules

Prefer a paper schedule?

If your group is fixed, everyone turns up on time, and you would rather hand out a sheet than look at a screen, use the pre-built schedules instead. They are free PDF and Excel downloads, colour-coded so you can see exactly when partners and opponents start to repeat.

You can also type your players' real names on any schedule page and download a personalized PDF with those names in every round — free, no signup. And rounds generated in the live mixer print too, as round sheets with adjustable layout, fonts, and columns.

// 06 FAQ

Round robin generator — asked & answered.

9 questions
Q.01 How many players can the round robin generator handle?
Anywhere from 4 to 150 players in a single session. Tell it how many courts you have and it fills them, then rotates the rest through fair sit-outs. If you would rather print a fixed sheet, the pre-built schedules cover 5 to 24 players, and large-group round robins covers what to do above that.
Q.02 Do I need an account or an app to generate a round robin?
No. The generator runs in your browser — open it, type or paste your players' names, and press Mix. There is no signup, no credit card, and nothing to install. Your roster and game history are kept in your browser. An optional free account adds a saved roster (up to 19 players in one group) and cloud sync.
Q.03 Can I print the round robin schedule it generates?
Yes. Every generated round can be printed as a round sheet, with configurable layout, fonts, and columns so it fits the paper you have. There is also a big-screen view for a TV or projector at the venue. If you want a paper schedule prepared in advance instead, use the pre-built round-robin schedules — free PDF and Excel downloads for 5 to 24 players.
Q.04 Does it generate doubles round robins, fixed partners, or mixed doubles?
All three. By default it generates rotating-partner doubles, where partners and opponents both change every round. Link two players and they stay a team all session — see the fixed-partner randomizer. Set each player's gender and it will keep courts gender-balanced — see the mixed-doubles randomizer. You can also balance team strength by rating with the rating-balanced randomizer.
Q.05 What happens when the player count does not divide evenly into courts?
Extra players get a bye that round. The generator tracks byes across the whole session, so bench time evens out — whoever has sat the most is prioritised back onto a court next round. You never have to work out the bye order yourself, and odd counts like 11 or 17 players are handled the same way as clean ones.
Q.06 Does the generator work offline?
Yes. The engine is cached in your browser, so it keeps generating rounds at the same speed when venue wifi drops or there is no signal at the courts. A mix takes milliseconds either way.
Q.07 How is this different from a static round robin chart?
A printed chart assumes exactly the players it was drawn for, all present for every round. Real sessions do not work that way. This generator re-solves the next round around whoever is actually on court right now — someone arrives at round three, someone leaves at round five, someone sits out one round with a sore knee — and it still avoids repeating partners and opponents. A chart cannot recover from any of that without you redrawing it by hand.
Q.08 Can I get a printable schedule for one specific player count?
Yes. There is a page per player count from 5 to 24, each with free PDF and Excel downloads and a colour-coded view of when partners and opponents start to repeat — for example 8 players, 12 players, or 16 players. Team versions live under the fixed-partner round-robin schedules.
Q.09 What does the round robin generator cost?
The generator is free for 4 to 150 players, with no signup, no per-player fees, and no ads. The pre-made schedule downloads (PDF and Excel) are free too. A free account adds a saved roster of up to 19 players in one group; paid plans lift those limits, and Pro adds score tracking and ladder leagues.
