A DUPR alternative built for organizers.
PickleMixer keeps an Elo rating for every player automatically, from the game scores you record — a built-in DUPR alternative for clubs and leagues that needs no DUPR account and no logins from your players. The rating flows straight into balanced mixers and multi-division ladder leagues, and it stays private to your group.
It is a rating for running your own sessions, not an official tournament rating — so it sits alongside DUPR rather than replacing it. The mixer is free to use; score tracking, ratings, and ladders are part of the Pro plan.

They're not either/or.
Use PickleMixer's rating when you run a recurring group or league and want a skill number that actually does something — balancing tonight's courts and ranking your ladder — without asking every player to register somewhere. It is instant, private to your group, and built into the same app that makes your rotations.
Keep DUPR when your players want an official, portable rating that follows them between clubs and counts toward tournament seeding. Because the two are fully separate, plenty of organizers run PickleMixer for night-to-night play and let players keep their DUPR for sanctioned events — no conflict, no double entry.
The fine print.
Q.01 Is PickleMixer a replacement for DUPR?
Not a replacement — an in-group alternative. PickleMixer keeps its own Elo rating for your club or league, calculated from the game scores you record. It is separate from DUPR and is not an official, tournament-recognized rating, but for running your own sessions and ladders it needs no DUPR account and no logins from your players.
Q.02 Do players need a DUPR account, or any account at all?
No. The organizer records game scores in the dashboard, and PickleMixer rates every player from those results. Players do not sign up, log in, or install anything to be rated.
Q.03 Will using PickleMixer change my players' official DUPR ratings?
No. The two systems are completely separate — nothing is sent to DUPR, and a player's PickleMixer rating has no effect on their DUPR rating or the other way around. Treat it as a private rating for your group.
Q.04 How is the rating calculated?
With Elo, the same method used in chess. After each game the winners' ratings rise and the losers' fall, by an amount that depends on the result and the opponents' ratings — beating higher-rated players moves your number more than beating lower-rated ones. A decay applies after long inactivity so absent players do not hold a stale standing.
Q.05 Is it free?
The mixer itself is free to use with no signup. Recording game scores, the Elo ratings built from them, and multi-division ladder leagues are part of the Pro plan.
Q.06 Can the ratings balance my games and run a ladder?
Yes — keeping the rating in the same app is the point. It feeds PickleMixer's rating-balanced mixing so courts stay even, and it ranks players in ladder-league divisions with automatic promotion and relegation each cycle.
