Why PickleMixer

Fresh partners and fresh opponents, deeper in. Mixed in milliseconds.

PickleMixer keeps players on fresh partners and opponents deeper into the session than any other pickleball mixer. A mix generates in milliseconds, online or offline. That's the pitch. The rest of this page is the supporting evidence and the features that come with it.

Fresh partners and fresh opponents, deeper into the session

Most pickleball mixers shuffle a deck each round. PickleMixer tracks every pairing across the whole session and refuses to repeat one until it's mathematically forced to. Players go more rounds before seeing the same partner again, and the same is true on the opponent side.

The engine runs through pre-baked optimal patterns for 9–24 player counts, then a direct-search constraint solver, then a genetic-algorithm stage as the fallback. Each step optimizes partner-freshness and opponent-freshness together, not one then the other.

Mixed in milliseconds, even offline

A round for a typical group generates in well under half a second. Online or offline. The same engine ships to your browser as a small (under 200 KB) cached JS bundle, so the moment the venue Wi-Fi flakes (or the gym doesn't have any), the mixer keeps working at the same speed.

That matters because most competing mixers are server-only. When the connection drops, they stop. With PickleMixer, you tap Mix and the next round is on the screen before you've put the phone down.

The features organizers actually use

  • Drag-and-drop swaps. Pick up a player from one court and drop them on another, or on the sit-out bench. The roster updates and the next mix respects the change.
  • Link players together. Fixed partners stay together for the whole session. Couples, training pairs, league teams: one-tap pairing toggle in the roster.
  • Mixed doubles format. Gender-tagged rosters give you gender-balanced courts every round, with men and women evenly distributed instead of random gender combinations.
  • Handles last-minute drop-outs, late-comers, and players who need a break. Mark the change and the next mix adapts. No re-typing the roster, no broken rotation.
  • Save your players. Create a free account and tonight's roster is one tap away next week. Ratings carry over too if you score games.
  • Highly configurable printing. Round sheets with adjustable layout, font size, and column count. Built to fit on one page even with 30+ players.
  • Big Screen mode. Put the mixer up on a TV or projector in Big Screen mode and the courts auto-rotate at the venue. Built-in timer and buzzer for capped-time rounds.

Plus the rest

Pin a player to a specific court. Rename courts to match real venue names like "North Gym" or "Court 7". Freeze a court for in-progress games while remixing the rest. Evenly distribute a less-popular court across all players over the session. Per-game score tracking with Elo ratings. Individual and team ladder leagues with auto-promotion and relegation. Event scheduler with lotteries, take-turns waitlists, and staggered auto-invites. Rating-balanced matches if you want skill-tier matchups.

Try it

No signup, no credit card. Type a few player names, set the courts, press Mix. The next round is on the screen in milliseconds.
