Free years & gifting

Referrals on PickleMixer earn something real: free years of your paid plan — or, if your account is already free for life, a year you can gift to a friend on a paid plan. Your personal link and live progress are on your profile page.

Earning free years

Every 2 referred organizers who put PickleMixer to real use earn you 1 free year — and there's no cap; every 2 more earn another.

A referral counts when someone who signed up through your link does one of two things:

• Upgrades to any paid plan, or
• Uses the Scheduler to invite their players to an event.

Each person counts once, and referrals bank immediately — you don't lose progress by waiting. Free years apply once you're on a paid plan that has completed its first annual payment; anything banked before then is waiting for you.

How a free year is delivered

• Auto-renewing plan: your subscription keeps renewing as normal, and the next renewal charge is refunded in full — the year costs you nothing and nothing about your billing changes.
• Otherwise: your plan's paid-through date is extended by a year.

Either way it happens automatically the moment a batch of referrals completes.

Gifting (free-for-life accounts)

If you're one of the original free-for-life organizers, free years aren't something your own account needs — so your banked referrals convert into a gift instead:

• Once you have 2 banked referrals, a Gift a free year form appears on your profile page. Enter your friend's email and they receive a claim link.
• Gifts can go to anyone on an active paid plan past its first annual payment — the free year lands on their plan exactly the way a self-earned one would.
• Claim links are valid for 30 days, and you can send up to 2 gifts per year.
• If a gift expires unclaimed or you cancel it, the referrals that funded it return to your bank — you'll get an email when that happens, and you can gift again (double-check the address, or pick another friend).

Where to track it

Your profile page shows everything in one place: your referral link and where it points, how many referred organizers you've banked toward the next free year (or gift), years earned so far, and any pending gifts with Resend and Cancel buttons.
