Install on your device

PickleMixer runs in your browser — nothing to download. Adding it to your home screen gives you a faster launch, a full-screen view without browser chrome, and the ability to reopen the Mixer from cache if your connection drops mid-session.

Visit picklefriend.net/add-to-home on your device for detection-based instructions. The steps below match what you'll see there.

iPhone

You must use Safari — Chrome on iOS cannot add apps to the home screen.

1. Open Safari and go to picklefriend.net/mixer.
2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (square with an arrow pointing up).
3. Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Tap Add in the top-right corner.

The PickleMixer icon will appear on your home screen like any other app.

iPad

Same requirement — Safari only.

1. Open Safari and go to picklefriend.net/mixer.
2. Tap the Share button in the top-right toolbar (square with an arrow pointing up).
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Tap Add to confirm.

Mac (Safari)

1. Open Safari and go to picklefriend.net/mixer.
2. Click File in the menu bar.
3. Select Add to Dock.

You can also drag the URL from the address bar directly onto your Dock.

Android and Chrome on desktop

When you visit /add-to-home on Chrome or another Chromium-based browser, a button labeled Add PickleMixer to Home Screen appears. Tap or click it and confirm the install dialog.

If the button does not appear — for example, in a private/incognito window or a browser that does not support the install prompt — use the manual route:

Chrome / Edge (Android and desktop)

1. Tap the menu (three dots).
2. Select Add to Home screen or Install app.
3. Confirm by tapping Add or Install.

Firefox (Android)

1. Tap the menu (three dots).
2. Select Add to Home screen.
3. Tap Add.

Samsung Internet

1. Tap the menu (three lines).
2. Select Add page to → Home screen.

Android app on Google Play

The Android app (net.picklefriend.twa) is on Google Play. It runs the same Mixer in a full-screen wrapper with automatic updates and no browser UI.

What you get after installing

After installing, the icon launches straight to the Mixer without opening the browser. The address bar and tabs stay hidden, leaving more screen for the court view. The service worker caches the /mixer page and its assets on your first visit, so if your connection drops mid-session the Mixer reloads from cache rather than showing an error.
